Before you book, you should know what the appointment costs and what happens if your plans change. These are the practical details of how I run OC Massage Therapy.
What does a session cost?
I charge $145 for 60 minutes and $195 for 90 minutes. Infrared light therapy is included, usually for about 20 to 30 minutes during your massage. It fits within the time you’ve booked, rather than adding time afterward. If you have questions about that part of the session, ask when we book. My contact page has the office and appointment details.
Can I use my FSA?
I accept FSA funds and can provide a superbill if you need one. Check with your plan administrator before booking to find out whether your appointment is eligible and what paperwork they require. I can provide the documentation, but I can’t promise reimbursement.
If you plan to use an HSA or insurance, check the payment arrangements with me and your plan first. Please don’t assume those work the same way as FSA payment.
Is a tip expected?
Tips are appreciated, but never expected. That’s your choice.
What if I need to cancel?
I don’t charge cancellation fees. I call it a grace policy because I work with people and their lives, and sometimes plans change. Let me know as soon as you can. If cancellations happen often, we’ll have a conversation about whether booking ahead is the right arrangement for you.
What happens if I’m late?
If I have room in my schedule, I’ll give you your full session. If another appointment means I can’t extend the time, I’ll tell you that we need to finish at the original time. A quick text when you’re running late helps me plan.
Do I need to choose a technique?
No. I offer prenatal massage, trigger point therapy, and sports or neuromuscular therapeutic massage. I use sports and neuromuscular therapeutic massage to describe the same service here. Tell me your main concern and what you want from the appointment. We’ll talk about the approach before we start.
Can I ask for less pressure or leave an area alone?
Yes. Tell me what you’re comfortable with, both before and during the massage. You can ask for a change in pressure, a pause, or a different focus. For prenatal appointments, I also adjust the position if it doesn’t feel comfortable. If you’re dealing with new, severe, or unexplained symptoms, get medical advice first rather than using a massage to find out what’s wrong.
What about clothing, draping, quiet time, or breaks?
Bring those questions up with me before your visit. If you’d prefer a quiet appointment or need to plan for a break, let me know. We can also talk through clothing and draping before we begin. If you’re unsure about seeing a male massage therapist, it’s okay to say so. You should feel comfortable with the person you’re booking.
Ready to schedule? Text or call Javier with the day you have in mind and whether you’d like 60 or 90 minutes. Include any appointment questions you want settled before you come in. I confirm every booking personally.
